I just got a new iMac! Doodled Emma Frost to break it in.

I really, really, REALLY needed a new computer. I felt so unproductive without one in the apartment. :(

My internship at Marvel has come and gone. It was a great experience! I’m really glad I got the chance to work with such awesome people. :)

I must say, I’m also really glad I finally have some time to work on my own projects now. First thing I’ve done since I left was this Batwoman painting! Go figure, all I want to draw now are DC characters (which is partially my friend Kit’s fault. She’s been constantly throwing DC graphic novels at me for the last few weeks.)

Progress. Not bad for an hour and a half.

On barely unrelated note, I start my internship with Marvel on the 31st. :D

Captain America looks pretty awesome though!

I touched up my HULK poster. I’m feeling a little better about it.

Iron Man and Captain America to come.

For my junior thesis project, I had to do three related pieces in the course of 3 weeks. I decided to do posters for Marvel’s Avengers movie (decided way before I found out about the interview, strangely enough), where I take movie photos and character designs of the characters and try to portray them in a more comic book style. I’m working with toned pencil sketches, with ink washes, and washes of acrylics.
