We had a guest in our Digital Painting class who taught us some quick things about zbrush. I’ve always really loved digital modeling, but Maya is way too frustrating. I think zbrush might be more of what I’m looking for.
A guy on zbrushcentral.com posted a little coloring tutorial on how to get a comic effect through a digital model. I’m pretty sure Avengers Academy used the same sort of technique for their lineart, so I’m not completely unfamiliar with it. I really want to give it a shot.
It’s such an expensive program though. :( Woe is me.
